On Location

Locations around the world have inspired Barbara’s paintings. Her favorite places are the hilltops of Provence in France, small villages in Europe, and San Miguel de Allende in Colonial Mexico.

Traveling and painting requires careful planning and thoughtful packing. Since Barbara paints in oils, carrying and drying canvases have resulted in a packing system that took Barbara years to develop and perfect. She now can safely bring home ten stretched canvases.
